A 17-year-old guy is dragged by his girlfriend to his first rock concert at the Stadthalle Offenbach. Unsuspecting. Who the heck is Lou Reed? The question will remain unanswered because what follows is a concert that never takes place, a star whose "performance" denies the German province of THE concert of their lives.
Along with Reed's scandalous performance, music universalist Oliver Augst spins a musical fictional performance about Lou Reed with pop eclectics Françoise Cactus and Brezel Göring from Stereo Total.
12 songs, new compositions, interpretations, and a cover describe the star from the point of view of his companions and other contemporary witnesses. The result is a multi-layered portrait of the rock star Reed together with the New York art and music scene and the parallel lifeworlds of the West German province in the late Seventies.
