Christian Beisswenger alias CB Funk alias one half of Arto Mwambe is not exactly one you’d call a stranger. For '77 Reasons' he debuts as The Citizen’s Band with some novel sounds on risky grounds. In love with details, fragile sounds, little tricks and with a fine ear for the action, the band leader tiptoes into deep bleepy house just enough to call 'West 42nd' exactly that. '77 Reasons' however plays around with a memorable little melody, a skanking lead and some boom sonics. Whatever you want to call it, Ramona’s fine with it. Orson and Kane would be proud.
